The Chekka Train

The “Chekka train” refers to the historical railway infrastructure that once served the Chekka and Hamat regions in Northern Lebanon. There are no active train services in Chekka or anywhere else in Lebanon, as rail transport largely ceased during the civil war in the 1970s and was completely discontinued in the 1990s.
