The “Chekka train” refers to the historical, now-defunct railway infrastructure in the Chekka and Hamat regions of Northern Lebanon. There are no active train services in Chekka or anywhere else in Lebanon, as rail transport largely ceased during the civil war in the 1970s and ended completely in the 1990s
