The Well of Saint Nohra, whose name means “The Light” in Syriac, is located at the entrance of Smar Jbeil Castle. According to local tradition, Saint Nohra was martyred in Smar Jbeil and is regarded as the patron saint of eyes and eyesight. Pilgrims visit the well, believed to be the place where his body was cast, and it holds deep religious and cultural significance for the local community.
