Saydet l Intikal

Tannourine El-Faouqa, in the Batroun District of North Lebanon, is home to historically significant churches, including the grand 19th-century Saydet el-Intikal (Our Lady of the Assumption) and the ancient Mar Challita, which may have originally been a pagan temple. Many of these sites feature Byzantine architectural elements or cedar wood, reflecting the area’s rich cultural and religious heritage.
