In Smar Jbeil, Lebanon, the oldest church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady of Gifts (also referred to as Our Lady of Rescues / Saydet al-Maʿawanat), is an ancient chapel believed to be older than the nearby St. Nohra Church. Today, it remains mostly in ruins, with only fragments of the original stone structure still visible. Dating back to the Middle Ages, possibly the Crusader period, it is regarded as one of the oldest sites of Marian worship in the area.
